What Should Architects Specify When Selecting an Office Eco Pod?
An office Eco Pod specification should describe the result a workplace needs. A model name alone cannot tell a contractor where power should arrive, how the door should open or which acoustic evidence to request. A clear schedule helps designers compare offers and prevents late changes on site.
State the intended use and capacity
Record whether each space is for calls, individual work, small meetings or group collaboration. Include the number of users, furniture, screen requirements and typical session length. Check both external footprint and usable internal space.
Ask for comparable acoustic evidence
Request a complete-enclosure speech level reduction result measured to ISO 23351-1. Identify the tested configuration and the offered configuration. Ecolution Design Eco Pods meet Category A with at least 30 dB speech level reduction. Avoid substituting a material absorption figure for a whole-product result.
Coordinate building services
Show the power supply, outlet locations, cable route and any screen or AV preparation on the plan. Specify ventilation and lighting functions and confirm how they are controlled. Agree on who supplies the screen, bracket and final connection; an optional preparation is not the same as an installed display.
Design access as a complete route
Check the route from the main circulation area, the clear door opening, threshold, internal turning or transfer space and reachable controls. Ecolution Design's floorless system gives a level entrance, but the selected model and furniture layout still need review for the intended user.
Record materials and maintenance
Ask for finish samples, cleaning guidance, replacement parts and product-specific environmental information. Ecolution Design provides Eco Passports and seven independently verified EPDs covering its range. State which environmental indicators and life cycle stages the project requires.
Leave room for change
Confirm whether components can be exchanged, a door moved or adjacent modules connected. Note the delivery route and access for later maintenance. Explore the Eco Pod collection and technical resources to develop a project schedule.
